woo, finally reached my 100 picture milestone in a few weeks :) stil no sales, i just hope they come soon ...
I have decided to start going through the archives from when i first started out photography, the the images will gain better in quality as i get to the more recent ones :) |

Looks like good images but all night shots. Needs some variety, and landscape type imags are a hard sell as there are just a ton out there, and a LOT of them are free.
Product, people, concepts, Get more intumned with that.
Go through the archives and look at what has sold, shoot that, but put your own spin on them. |

Nice photos but try to think more "commercial". What would people buy. Landscape (as already said) is extremely difficult to sell. |

If your logic is correct, then model images are also a hard sale, because there are so many out there, and lots of them are free. |

I keep returning to OP's images. Stunning, simply. Maybe he has to split his portfolio into RM and RF. The RM for the less-commercial but very artsy pictures and the ones with a clear concept (the industrial one for instance) on RF. Many star trails, but the one that needs its most, the Jodrell bank dish, has none. If the dish would have taken more close (cropped) with star trails, that would be a very good concept for telecom companies etc...
My personal favorite is the vintage airplane but I can't imagine what commercial product or service it could sell. Aviation? Travel? It's just beautiful and my guess is OP should think more mundane for what he uploads to RF stock. |

I understand that you are sweeping through your older files, but try to ad one of your latest shots per every old one... this way you will finish your old files, but you will have your recent work online as well... Some images might loose their relevancy while sitting on table for looong time... (- the buyers taste evolves, the recent look of image evolves...) |

For me it's a beautiful portfolio from the artistic point of view.
You could successfully exhibit these photos in a photo gallery.
Different is the ability to sell them in a stock agency.
I also think that these photos have their charm if they are seen together, but those who look on the site retrive some of them only occasionally ...
Furthermore, with only an hundred of photos you never know what's going on sales. Personally I sold in early November many photos all at once. Then sales have suddenly stopped ... maybe suddenly resume.

Speaking as a buyer, model shots might be as saturated as landscape but I probably need 20 times as many photos with models as I do landscape.
I actually pick up some landscapes with my subscription sometimes just because I like the pictures. |
